Door James 2.0 launches on 7 April
We’re excited to share that Door James 2.0 will officially launch on 7 April. This is our most significant app update yet, with a completely re-imagined experience designed to make workplace management smarter, simpler, and more seamless.

Improvements
Map View Booking → Users can now book directly from the map for a faster, more visual experience, with availability shown in context and fewer steps to confirm a booking.
Clearer Overview → Cleaner screens and improved user flows make it easier to find the information that matters most, with less searching and fewer clicks.
AI Booking Recommendations → Smart suggestions based on booking behavior and preferences help users find the right spot faster.
Smarter Booking Request Approvals → Booking requests can now include a meeting name and comment for better context. If a request is declined, admins can add a rejection reason that is sent back by email and in-app notification for clearer communication.
Office Rollout Improvements → Excel imports now provide clearer guidance when required area or floor information is missing. In some cases, building or zone information can also be converted into usable area data to reduce manual fixes.
AI Floorplan Enhancements → AI-supported tools help refine floorplan visuals and speed up setup with automatic initial placement of desks, meeting rooms, and parking spaces, while still allowing full review and adjustment.

 

Bug Fixes
App & Admin Panel Stability → We’ve addressed numerous bugs across the app and admin panel to improve overall stability, performance, and reliability.
